‘Ocean’s Harvest’

THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee - The Philippine Star

If you’re craving for a delightful dining experience of having fresh seafood cooked the way you want it, I suggest you go to Marriott Café.

There’s dampa-and-paluto dining style at this restaurant that allows diners to choose from the outlet’s fresh seafood, request the chefs to have it cooked the way they want it, and indulge in the glorious taste of the bounty of the sea. This engaging seafood buffet, aptly called Ocean’s Harvest, is held every Friday and Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

To officially kick off the campaign, a launch was held as guests were invited to savor this sumptuous seafood buffet. At the launch, Marriott Hotel Manila executive chef Meik Brammer happily demonstrated how the buffet works: “Just choose anything you want from the ‘Catch of the Day’ station and tell the chef how you want it to be prepared. No recipes required.”

Chef Meik also proudly narrated  his daily morning visit to Navotas, a source of the hotel’s fresh seafood. “This is to ensure that all seafood we buy in the market is always fresh,” he said.
