Bringing the best of NY to Manila

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -

The healing community in the Philippines continues to become more vibrant and promising with the recent opening of N.Y. Theraspine, a facility in Quezon City dedicated to helping individuals maintain a pain-free and active lifestyle.

A group of topnotch health care professionals led by New York-trained physical therapist Michelle Natividad and chiropractor, Dr. Don Juan Moore Jr., aims to provide Filipinos the best alternative and conservative care. This clinic provides a serene environment, offering various services like chiropractic therapy (focusing on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders), physical therapy, stroke rehabilitation and myofascial release, among many others.

Guests, clients and friends excitedly gathered to witness the launch of this alternative brand of therapy. The affair was highlighted with a blessing ceremony officiated by Pastor Jonathan Camcam and a simple program that concluded with a raffle of special prizes from N.Y. Theraspine. Michelle’s parents Tom and Vangie Natividad couldn’t be more proud to be a part of their daughter’s remarkable achievement.

Gracing the momentous occasion were prominent personalities including GMA Films president Annette Gozon Abrogar, GMA program management VP Joey Abacan, Master Showman German Moreno, film director Mac Alejandre and Wally Sombrero.

Congratulations Michelle and more power to N.Y. Theraspine!

(N.Y. Theraspine is located at 73-G Scout Dr. Lazcano St. corner Scout Tuazon, Brgy. Laging Handa, Tomas Morato, Quezon City. For inquiries, call 921-9831, 375-1035 or 0916-390-4800.)

All for the love of the game

It was one exciting day of great friendship and camaraderie as one of the country’s premium mobile service providers held a fun-filled golf event to remember. Smart Infinity, the top choice of the most discerning mobile phone users led by its tireless business group head Julie Carceller, recently had a golf tournament at the Sta. Elena Golf Club in Laguna. Among the winners in the tournament were Augusto de Jesus, Luigi Tabuena and Fernando Zaldarriaga for the Men’s Division Class A; and Pauline del Rosario, Mikaela Bruce and Lorna Tabuena for the Women’s Division. Everybody enjoyed a day full of perks and fantastic prizes. Prizes raffled off included a fabulous Mini Cooper and a classic Vespa scooter. Several units of Samsung Galaxy Y netphone were also given away during the awarding ceremony.

It was indeed an amazing and unforgettable tournament! Congratulations to Smart Infinity for another successful event!

Book on Manila Hilton launched

More than the glamor, it was the perfect chance to rekindle old friendships. We refer to the recent launch of Heartbeat Manila Hilton, a book about the famous hotel on United Nations Avenue by author-editor Marla Yotoko Chorengel and co-editor Letty Jacinto Lopez. At the Ritz Tower poolside, a flurry of anecdotes of bygone years were exchanged among some 200 guests who attended the event including Ambassador Philip Mabilangan and wife Ada, Ambassadors Isabel Caro-Wilson, Ching Escaler, and former Justice Undersecretary Manuel “Dondi” Teehankee, philanthropist Dee Zobel, Delbros’ Menchu Katigbak, Cynthia Cruz-Conine (widow of Manila Hilton GM Darrell Conine), poet Babeth Lolarga, Ernest Escaler and Beth Day-Romulo. The Delgado family, owners of the Manila Hilton property, came in full force. Among them were Nellie Chuidian Delgado, Mila Delgado Enage, Chinit Delgado, Ricky Delgado Sr. and Robbie Delgado. As the song goes, “those were the days, my friends, we thought they’d never end...”
