What most people of a certain age fondly remember about Roxas Boulevard is its being a landmark of Philippine tourism — famed for its yacht club, the CCP complex, government buildings, fine dining restaurants, museums and five-star hotels. Of the latter, many are curious as to what has become of the grand old Admiral Hotel, a favorite of Manila’s high society during its heyday.
Well, here’s the good news: the old Admiral Hotel will be renovated and will reopen as a luxury boutique hotel offering the same white-gloved service it has become known for. The same pampering will extend to the unit owners of Admiral BaySuites, a 53-story residential condominium to be built behind the hotel. Both projects belong to Anchor Land Holdings Inc. (ALHI) headed by its chairman Stephen Lee and vice chairman Steve Li. ALHI president Beth Ventura joined Steve Li in welcoming guests at the grand opening of the Admiral BaySuites showroom recently.
Seen marveling at the model units were Don Ado Escudero, Aficionado Germany Perfume president and CEO Joel Cruz and Angola Consul Helen Ong. Be among the privileged few who can truly call the historical landmark by the bay home.
(Admiral BaySuites is located at 2138 Roxas Boulevard, Manila. For inquiries, call 888-9999 or visit www.anchorlandholdings.com.)
