The advice one usually gets after one’s 30th birthday is to just celebrate every five or 10 years thereafter and, after 50, no more. But this year, I just have to grab the occasion to formally thank my dearest friends who believe in the cause of the new foundation I put up in the name of my eldest son, EJ, who passed away four years ago after battling with the Big C. At the EJ Litton Foundation, Inc., our mission is to help cancer-stricken children who cannot afford treatment as well as educate those who are underprivileged—two advocacies very close to EJ’s heart. Through the years, I can really say I am truly blessed, surrounded by a loving family, loyal circle of associates, roster of satisfied clients and well-meaning friends. My heartfelt gratitude to all for the positive response and the best birthday present I got that night — the presence of family and friends, the Lord’s greatest gift to one and all!
