The authentic taste of China

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -

It was an exquisite dining experience indeed as The Bellevue Hotel, the only five-star hotel in the south of Metro Manila, recently launched Phoenix Court, its first specialty Chinese restaurant located at the second floor of the hotel’s plush Tower Wing. The Bellevue’s dynamic chairman Johnny Chan, hardworking GM Patrick Chan and affable marketing and communications director Ryan Chan, together with Muntinlupa Mayor Aldrin San Pedro, led the opening ceremony of the luxurious 250-seater dining venue, which is the biggest and finest of its kind in this part of the metropolis. To bring luck and prosperity to the newly-opened restaurant, a festive Chinese lion dance took place followed by the ceremonial throwing of the coins and candies. Amidst a cozy and classy ambiance, Manila and Alabang’s high society members were treated to a gastronomic delight of authentic Chinese flavors carefully prepared by brilliant Malaysian-born executive chef Cheong Kwan Loong with the help of the ever efficient Phoenix Court restaurant manager Shie Olan. The delectable specialties included roasted Peking duck, poached Hainanese Hong Kong chicken, quick-fried beef tenderloin with black pepper and steamed lapu-lapu with tausi sauce. Aside from the superb food, guests were all praises as they raved about Phoenix Court’s tasteful interior design, elegant noodle and dimsum bar and impeccable service.

Congratulations! Expect the best things to come only from The Bellevue!
