An intimate gathering took place as Ching Montinola hosted a despedida for her beloved friend Mercy Arrastia-Tuason who was recently designated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Holy See with jurisdiction in the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. Friends and family enjoyed an interesting excursion down the Pasig River by the Ferry Transport Catamaran boat and later continued the party at the Malago Park for a scrumptious merienda. It was a truly eventful day for such an honorable cause. Congratulations, Mercy, and best wishes!

When the whole world smiles with you
A benefit concert for Operation Smile Philippines (OSP) dubbed “In Our Hands” was recently held at the Harbour Garden Tent in Sofitel Philippine Plaza. Special guest performers were renowned international recording artist and songwriter David Pomeranz and Chadleen Lacdo-o, who describes herself as an “Operation Smile miracle.” The event was the culmination of a three-city concert tour for the benefit of Operation Smile Philippines. The show’s theme “In Our Hands” is the title of a song originally composed by David Pomeranz for Unicef. The theme song aptly conveys the message that it takes a community, a village, a whole society to transform a child’s future. As a non-profit volunteer medical services organization, it provides free reconstructive surgery for indigent children afflicted with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities. Smile everyone!
