Scott "Gutsy" Tuasons exhibition of photographic art called Undercurrents recently ended its month long run at Studio 333, owned by Christopher Holbrook and is located in Sausalito, California, an exclusive and small seaside spot located just across the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco. The exhibit was award-winning photographer Gutsys US debut originally scheduled for two weeks only but due to its popularity, Studio 333 extended the show to a month. The 36 original prints, signed by Gutsy and exhibited at Studio 333, made obvious the adventurous spirit of Gutsys art which is deeply influenced by the vast marine life landscape. Gutsys striking images depict magnificent creatures of the wild and humans surrounded by the splendor of nature.
The exhibit was announced in over 15 newspapers in Northern California and all over the Web. The opening night included society figures from San Francisco and Marin County, including actress Cloris Leachman.
Because of the success of the photo exhibit, Gutsy was asked to mount another exhibit in Sausalito next year. He will also have exhibitions in Santa Barbara, San Diego, Santa Monica and then off to Paris and London. Gutsy is represented exclusively by Double Davis in San Francisco owned by Ron Davis II and Mish Mari Davis. Gutsys latest coffee table book Bahura is available at Fully Booked, Powerbooks, Filipinas Heritage Library, Scuba World, A Different Bookstore, Tesoros, Silver Lens, Café del Sol Boracay and El Nido Resorts.
All roads led to the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) as everyone trooped to the Cream Halloween Ball hosted by Bigfish. Powered by Addict Mobile, Cream Halloween Ball 2005 was the sixth installation in the biggest and longest running costume ball in Manila. This was the first time all three halls of the PTTC were utilized for the party. It was also the first time over 5,000 people attended the event. Spotted were Folded & Hung owners Ronald Pineda and Alan Vianson, designer Tonichi Nocom, architect Dan Lichauco, Junie Licaros, Karylle Padilla, Tals Diaz, Inaki and Kimmie Lamata, Norman and Astrud Crisologo, Pixie Cheah, Josa Primero, Nicole Santos, DJ Sanchez, Denise Albert, Lester Castillo and John Osmena Jr.
