HANOI, Vietnam — Restaurants and bars in Hanoi are hoping to cash in on the summit between US president Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un by offering culinary delights dedicated to the leaders.

Durty Bird restaurant in the bustling Old Quarter will be offering the "Dirty Donald" in honour of the US President, loaded with beef, cheese and topped with Russian dressing and chicken floss -- a nod to "the Donald's" political scandal and infamous coif.

Their sister restaurant Chops plans to feature the "Kim Jong Yum" on their menus: kimchi mayonnaise, fried kimchi, pulled pork grilled pork and grilled onions.

Despite his tongue-in-cheek toppings, Kelly said he was just looking to have a bit of fun ahead of the big meeting on February 27 to 28.

"We want to make burgers great again," he told AFP, adding that he hopes the leaders will come in for a taste of his culinary odes.

"I'm sure the Donald would love this and the supreme leader Kim would totally enjoy this."

Nearby at Bee’ZNees bar, bartenders Nguyen Phuc Minh and Nguyen Thanh Son have come up with some alcohol-based tributes -- perhaps not to be enjoyed by Trump who famously does not drink.

The whisky-based tabasco-tomato juice cocktail for Trump features a secret ingredient: caramel in the colour of the president's hair.

As for the Kim tipple, the bartenders mix a ginseng brew with korean soju liquor and rum, to be enjoyed in a glass decorated with seaweed that he said is made to look like Kim.
