Ironcon reacts to Tulfo column

The Philippine Star

In the column dated March 3, 2022 written by Mr. Ramon T. Tulfo, we would like to correct the inaccuracies of what is written as it did not review, much less make any research, before publishing the same.

The report started with the city government of Parañaque “may want to investigate the construction of a 24-storey building at the Marina Palm Coast village.” Your team of lawyers should know that before an investigation may be conducted, a complaint should be lodged before the appropriate forum. If indeed an investigation ensues, you may or may not publish the same, depending on the rule of the agency/court involved which you have to abide by. For the article to even publicly state without any supporting documents/evidence/pictures that the construction allegedly has no safety nets is irresponsible reporting, to say the least.

The article went on to state that the contractor is Ironcon, which is totally false and incorrect and may subject the writer and your company for a libel case, which our legal team is studying at this juncture. Our company has been in the business for decades and has kept a good reputation for following all necessary precautions. We are proud to say that while accidents are part of the occupational hazards and inevitable, we have kept it low and managed it well in view of the safety gears and measures in place.

For your information, the contractor in the said project doing the finishing works is the subcontractor of Hwa Lun Corporation, which is Michelle S. Matic, located in Lot 8 Lincoln Ave., Parañaque, Metro Manila. If the alleged complaint of “one of the owner (sic) of the house is not given attention” as reported, then it should have been made against such party involved and before the appropriate government agency. The appropriate government agency, of course, is either the barangay, City Hall or the court, and not the esteemed publication company such as yours. As a matter of fact, we took the investigative work which your team can verify, that indeed a complaint has been lodged by Mr. Albert Gan representing Palm Coast Marina & Bayside Residence Homeowner’s Association Inc. on Feb. 26, 2022 against PIC Engr. Jason Sison of Grand Titanic with address at Atlantic Ave., Asiaworld Complex, Don Galo, Parañaque City, before Barangay Don Galo. – Jaime U. Lim, President, Ironcon Builders and Development Corp.
