Thoughts to guide us by
As we celebrate Holy Week this month, and mull upon the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, may we always be reminded that the sun unfailingly rises — with its warm, life-sustaining light all over us — after a long dark night. That after the “death†of a sunset comes the “resurrection†of the sunrise that gives us renewed hope for a much better day that brims with strengthened faith, heightened optimism and unwavering positive outlook in life.
The resurrection of our Lord guarantees that of our very own. And as Easter Sunday faithfully and triumphantly comes … so shall good triumph over evil!
Next time we look at the sun in the morning — appreciate and be grateful for it! As it rises with its bright rays brightening the sky and enveloping the world with its inspiring eternal hope — let us firmly and strongly resolve to liberate ourselves from the bondage of negativism, gloom, cynicism, and crab mentality. Resurrect ourselves, to resurrect our beloved land to be “the Pearl of the Orient Sea†again!
Be happy and rejoice in the bristling glorious hope that comes with Resurrection!!!
