Haiku for Secretary Robredo

I once wrote a haiku poem many years ago while still in college, the symbolism of which I feel may fittingly apply to the significance of the life of the late DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo.

In his honor and memory, I would like to dedicate the haiku poem:

”Sun vanished, leaving

a tableau, crimson-hued sky only for awhile.”

As a public servant, Sec. Robredo was not a star in the night but a sun during the day for the many people he has served and whose lives he has touched. We hope and pray that the sunset of his mortal life will lead to another sunrise for the country.
