Filipino scientists need gov't recognition, support

Dear President Aquino,

Greetings in the name of St. Thomas Aquinas!

I am Kristine Dela Paz, a new chemistry student. I’m alarmed because Filipino scientists are having struggles to have their research. We only have few Filipino scientists here, well in fact we really need a lot of them in order to explore and discover more about certain things.

Our scientists lack awards of recognition and excellence regarding their specialty. It is very important, not only for them but also for our whole nation to be recognized as far as intellectual abilities are concerned.

May I also call the attention and persuade the graduating students to choose chemistry or other science courses, because our country is in need of Filipino chemists or scientists to help our nation develop in the future, to mold our next generation and to give a sense of pride to our nation.
