Letters to the Editor

Joma becoming obsolete

- Pilo S. Delos Santos, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija -

The drumbeaters or antagonists of CPP Chairman Jose Ma. Sison failed to stir any public interest with news that he is in the country. It would have merited a headline a few years ago in various newspapers. But now, nobody seemed to care or even take note and read that piece of news that he arrived in the country on January 20.

This only goes to show that Sison’s popularity or whatever, has waned. His activities in and outside of Holland are not given any importance, except his recent photo with a friend when he celebrated his birthday recently. This appeared in one newspaper.

This maybe due to the fact that the CPP as an organization is no longer intact as there are continuous infighting as gleaned from reports in newspapers about the state of the CPP at present. Sison maybe headed for obscurity real soon. The problems in the CPP have taken their toll on him. Moreover, some members have started to distrust him, it seems.

Happy in Holland - that’s Joma Sison and probably his hard core stance may soon break to pieces as he is having the time of his life living in another land, and away from the bickering inside the CPP. He did not go to Philippines, no, he’ll miss the cold in Utrecht.
