Out of context

I refer to the news item appearing in The Philippine STAR, Aug. 9, 2011 issue, entitled “Comelec, DOJ need miracle to uncover truth”.

I was quoted out of context because only a small portion of what I said during the mass was quoted. In your news report, you omitted my statement to the effect that with God we can find the truth and hold liable those who engaged in election fraud in 2004 and 2007. I uttered a prayer for wisdom, guidance, courage and protection as we proceed to carry out our mission which I gladly accept. I wanted to point that we can do nothing apart from God. Please remember that these statements were made impromptu when Fr. Robert Reyes, the running priest, surprised me by calling me in front to give some remarks concerning the Joint Comelec-DOJ Panel that will investigate election fraud.
