Stop kidnappers and terrorists

The surge of kidnappings in Cotabato should be addressed soon.  Businessmen and their relatives have become easy targets and the kidnappers often gain millions as a result of this terroristic acts.

We recall that even in the NCR a rash of kidnappings occurred. Let us not wait for kidnapping activities to spill out to other places and to thrive once again. At present, nobody feels safe anymore with the thought that terrorists might do lighting attacks at any time.

This is why RA 9372 or the Human Security Act of 2007 should be fully supported by everyone for it is one way terrorist acts maybe prevented, with the terror suspects arrested even without warrants.

With the coming local elections some untoward incidents may occur again, and yes, of more kidnappings. This is an appeal to President Aquino, the government and the AFP-PNP to stop terrorists and kidnappers in “sowing and creating a condition of widespread and extraordinary fear and panic among the populace,” to quote one news article.
