A manifesto of support

MANILA, Philippines - The Makati Judges Association, composed of all the Regional Trial Court Judges and Metropolitan Trial Court Judges of Makati City, fully supports the appointment of the Honorable Renato C. Corona as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The Association upholds nothing else but the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary. Any perceived question being raised on the appointment made by President Gloria Arroyo should not hinder the effective and efficient administration of justice, especially under the new leadership of Chief Justice Corona.

Chief Justice Corona can rest assure that the officers and all the member judges of Makati Judges Association are behind him and that we will support and abide by his administration, work hand in hand with him to make the judiciary the bulwark of the administration of justice as he heads and charts the future of the entire Philippine Judiciary.
