Ready Form clarifies STAR item
MANILA, Philippines - This refers to the news report which appeared on page 18 (Metro Page) of your newspaper today entitled “Printing firm cleared of alleged tax irregularities.”
In the news report, it was inadvertently stated that “Sylianteng pointed out that the NPO itself was blacklisted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) . . .”
We would like to correct this statement. While the NPO is facing a case for blacklisting filed by Ready Form before the LTO BAC for subcontracting, a violation under the Uniform Rules for Suspension and blacklisting issued by the GPPB, at this time the case has not yet been resolved. Should the findings be adverse to it, the NPO may still avail of appeal procedures, hence, the portion in the news should properly read “Sylianteng pointed out that the NPO itself is facing blacklisting charges before the Land Transportation Office . . .”.
In the instance that the LTO BAC shall find against the NPO, the LTO Chief would still have to approve the BAC Resolution. Therefore, the NPO may still appeal the case to the DOTC Secretary and until such time as the Secretary and until such time as the Secretary has affirmed the Blacklisting Resolution the Blacklisting Order cannot be issued hence the NPO is not yet blacklisted.
Thank you very much for allowing this clarification in the interest of fair play.
Very truly yours. — GUILLERMO L. SYLIANTENG JR., General Manager, Ready Form Inc.
