Letters to the Editor

Continue the mission

-

First of all, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for all the wonderful things it is bringing to our lives through its concessionaire, Manila Water. We are very happy for all the improvement they are doing to our communities. We really appreciate their efforts for the people.

Their projects have brought significant changes in our lives. We can recall the days when we do not have water in our area. We remember the days when only a few drops of water are coming out of our faucets. All of these things are very different now. Today, we are enjoying 24 hours of water supply. It takes us only a few minutes to fill our water containers since the pressure is very high. These changes really improved our lives. We commend Manila Water for delivering to us these changes.

Because of this, we hope that Manila Water’s term of service will be extended. We want them to continue their mission of bringing water to every family and community. We have seen their dedication and passion to help people especially the less fortunate communities. One thing we like about Manila Water is that it is a company not just doing business for the sake of profit but also exercising their social responsibility to the communities. I really admire the management of Manila Water. I wish that all the companies here in the Philippines are like them. Manila Water will be an instrument for bringing change and progress to our country. — RICARDO JIMENEZ, Chairman, Barangay Balong Bato, City of San Juan
