MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 7,470 out of 26,812 examinees passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in the elementary level given last April 5.
The PRC also said 5,914 of 23,975 examinees succeeded in hurdling the LET in the secondary level.
The figures represent 27.86 percent and 24.67 percent passing rates for elementary and secondary levels, respectively.
Lorivi Robles Hubayan of the University of the Philippines-Diliman topped the exam in the elementary level with the rate of 90 percent.
She was followed by Catherine Joy Batrina Catalan of University of Pangasinan with 89.80 percent.
Others in the top 10 were Dena Sasing Cula of UP-Diliman, with the rate of 89.40 percent; Aileen Reyes Macapagal, UP-Diliman, 88.80; Hershey Gambon Calma, UP-Diliman, 88.40; and Charmaine Villarica Ariem of Holy Angel University, 88.20.
Tied at seventh place with a rating of 87.80 percent were Gian Carlo Salabao Auxilian of Saint Anthony’s College-Antique, Ma. Belle Desiree Gapusan Casino of Xavier University, Marjorie Mendoza Jimenez of National Teachers’ College, and Charla Rochella Gino Santiago of UP-Diliman.
In eighth place was Sheila Ann Clarion Dallego of UP-Diliman, 87.40 percent, while the ninth place was shared by Michelle Reyes Agas of UP-Diliman, Karen Mae Abraham Almin of De La Salle University-Lipa, Lla Manuel Cagungun of National Teachers’ College, Xyra Mel Obillo Duque of UP-Diliman, and Aiza Valenzona Pansacala of Talisay City College, 87.20.
The 10th place was taken by Mary Rose Teope Culanggo of Notre Dame University, with 86.80 percent.
Top 10 in secondary level
In the secondary level, Benedict Enriquez Barayuga of Central Luzon State University and Gerard Vincent Tanchanco Mendoza of UP-Diliman topped the exam, both with a rating of 91.60 percent.
Rochelle Madjus Razo of UP-Diliman got second place with 90.60 percent, followed by Albert Angeles Basa of Philippine Women’s University-Manila, 90 percent and Swaggert Calado Tacio of Saint Louis University, 89.60.
In fifth place were Arlano Revilla Aquino of UP-Baguio City and Jean Marzo Ginez of UP-Diliman, with 89.20 percent.
In sixth place were Joyce Tan Fang of University of Santo Tomas and Arnold Magat Viray of Philippine Normal University-Manila, 88.80.
Placing seventh were Vanessa Claire Katimbang Gordovez of UP-Los Baños, Murita Antonia Segui Panganiban of De La Salle University-Manila and Garnette Mae Tajoda Villaflor of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, 88.60.
Ranking eighth were Leonila Wilhelmina Nacua Baltazar of UST, Carisa Casana Blancas of Saint Louis University, Jacqueline Vallado Bongalonta of UP-Diliman, Antonio Maria Quimson Montemayor of UP-Diliman, Babelene Tiu Pagsuyoin of UP-Diliman, Maria Victoria Ang Paras of UST, April Yap Patigas of De La Salle University-Manila, 88.40.
In ninth place were Randy Bianes Barbo of Adamson University, Fernando Domingo Caranto Cabangon of UP-Diliman, Maria Armee Miravalles Javellana of UP-Diliman, and Maria Carlina Verches Roa of Silliman University, 88.20.
