MSU modernization ongoing

MANILA, Philippines - The MSU System CIT first building in Southern Mindanao where President Aquino led the ground breaking ceremony a year ago came into reality.

Of the P1 billion (CHED-DAP) Development Acceleration Program in addition to P1.078 billion (included in) 2013 GAA for Mindanao State University System modernization program, there are now 46 ongoing infrastructure projects.

The CIT three-storey building worth P53 million is one of the 46 infrastructure projects funded under the P1 billion (CHED-DAP) was completed recently. It has 14 standard and large classrooms equipped with modern facilities. The CIT building is expected to be inaugurated within this year.

President Aquino said during the ground breaking of CIT building last April 22, 2013 that the CIT building will be utilized as Information Center for the university, MSU, which operates as an umbrella outfit for several other state universities across Southern Mindanao.

MSU System president Dr. Macapado A. Muslim conveyed his profound gratitude to President Aquino with the very substantial funding provided by the government. He expressed his confidence the MSU System will not only be regarded as national university, but at par, if not competitive with global standards as it has the required expertise to be considered world class.
