TARLAC CITY, Philippines -—  At least 1,760 Tarlaqueños spread in Tarlac City’s 42 barangays graduated anew in the Provincial Government’s Community Based Training Program.

The program, in partnership with the Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority [TESDA], the office of second district of Tarlac Rep. Susan Yap and the PGT’s Training and Placement Network Program [TPNP], is a part of Governor Victor Yap’s four pillars of governance under the category “Trabaho Muna.” The other three are the “Pagkain Muna, Edukasyon Muna and Kalugusan Muna.”

In his speech, Yap praised the new graduates for their resolve to become entrepreneurs.

“This only proves that you are all willing to be the bosses of your own businesses…the things you have learned from your training will definitely boost the government efforts in eliminating poverty and unemployment in the province,” Yap said.

The governor likewise made special mention of the personnel of the TPNP led by Maria Lira Reyes and Raffy Pascua for their efforts in bringing much success to the program.
