Investiture of 11th FEU president

MANILA, Philippines - Far Eastern University (FEU) will hold the investiture of president Dr. Michael Alba on Jan. 28. This will commence with a Eucharistic celebration at the FEU Chapel at 4 p.m, and will be followed by an academic processional at 5:30 p.m. The Investiture ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. in the FEU Auditorium. Alba is the 11th president of FEU and succeeded Dr. Lydia Echauz in October 2012. Before becoming president of FEU, Alba served as the dean of the College of Business and Economics of the De La Salle University-Manila from 2001 to 2006. Most recently, he was a senior research fellow and a full-time associate professor at the same university. He served as the president of the Philippine Economic Society (PES), and consultant for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) specializing in microeconometrics, econometrics, economics, human resources and microeconomics. Alba holds a PhD in Applied Economics from Stanford University.
