Aviation school awarded CAAP qualification certificate

MANILA, Philippines -The Philippine Academy for Aviation Training’s (PAAT) 2nd Airbus A320 Level-D Full Flight Simulator was awarded the CAAP Qualification Certificate.

Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) airworthiness inspector Richie Alforque (right) presented PAAT with the Qualification Certificate for its 2nd Airbus A320 Level-D Full Flight Simulator recently, after undergoing an intensive four-day qualification audit performed by the CAAP Team. Receiving the certificate is PAAT general manager Raoul Perez (2nd from right) and Capt Ronaldo Mendoza, PAAT training manager (leftmost) and Gerry Genove, Sim maintenance group leader. 

PAAT’s 1st simulator was qualified last November 2012. PAAT is a joint venture Airbus A320 type-rating and recurrency training center of Cebu Pacific and CAE, a world leader in aviation training.

Through CAE, PAAT belongs to the CAE-Airbus Training Cooperation offering A320 initial type-rating based on the Standard Airbus training footprint.

PAAT now has two Airbus A320 full-flight simulators and one Airbus Procedures Transition Trainer (APTT) in its training center at the Clark Freeport Zone. PAAT’s instructors have all finished the standardization course by Airbus. Aside from Cebu Pacific, PAAT aims to fulfill the training requirements of other third-party airlines both locally and in the region.
