MANILA, Philippines - In order to further hone the leadership, management, and business skills of its young leaders, Globe Telecom in partnership with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) recently launched a new management development program for the company’s junior executives.

The new Globe-AIM Management Development Program (MDP) contains a number of training modules designed to help middle managers assume leadership roles within the company or transition to broader roles within the organization.

The program aims to help participants deepen their management abilities including honing their operation strategizing skills to be able to deliver competitive advantage and have a better understanding of the interrelationships of different business functions and how it shapes corporate strategy and implementation.

The program is delivered over a 17 days training period spread over 17 weeks. The first batch of MDP trainees began last November 2012 and will graduate in March 2013.

“These young middle managers have been very eager and curious in applying their learnings and developing their skills. The courses that we have collaborated with Globe for development continues to be an exciting experience as we see how Globe shapes a dynamic leadership profile it needs today and tomorrow,” says Prof. Francisco Bernardo, AIM program director and faculty, Strategic Operations Management.

The Globe-AIM Management Development Program will be part of the employees’ training curriculum offered by Globe to its young managers and executives.
