MANILA, Philippines - The Galileo Enrichment Learning Program has crossed the bridge to the south of the Philippines as it welcomed a new center into the system in Davao City recently.

“Galileo just came in at exactly the right time, to provide opportunities of empowering learners and to uplift the educational system of Davao City, which is the cornerstone of our city’s developmental progress,” said Julie Tiu, directress of Galileo Davao. She hopes to enrich learning in Davao, especially in Math and in English through Galileo.

“Through the opening of the new center, we provide opportunities for students to learn life skills and prepare them to become globally competitive,” said Galileo CEO Ma. Rowena Matti during the Birth of A Star portion, which formally opened the center to the public.

Matti also gave the guests an orientation of what Galileo is about, and the Math and English programs. Operations head for Galileo Maribeth Lamis gave an overview of Singapore Math which has been making waves in education with its systematic way of solving word problems. And now that Singapore Math has reached the Philippines, Galileo is offering this program to their learners.
