PWU baccalaureate ceremonies set
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Women’s University will hold its baccalaureate ceremonies with the celebration of a mass by Chaplain Fr. Macias Wency Serafica tomorrow, March 30, 4 p.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center, Ballroom, Pasay City.
Special messages will be delivered by PWU President Dr. Francisco Benitez and Board Chairperson Dr. Helena Benitez, with the investiture led by the various deans from 13 schools attended by over 800 candidates for graduation.
Student Council presidents Akhim Sajjad and Myla Yuta of Taft and Quezon City campuses, respectively will perform the bequeathal of responsibility and turn over the task to Daime Mawell Ambrosio and Jesselee Gaspacho.
The Salute to Alma Mater will be led by honorable mention Celestine Elvin Yalong, an Underwood Scholar from the School of Arts and Sciences.
This year’s loyalty awardees who will be presented by VP Dr. Vivien Talisayon are Prof. Adalbert Alcaide, Ma. Katrina Monsod and Hubert Ryan Uy. The Association Medals will be awarded by President Benitez, assisted by Registrars Dr. Liwayway Dapito and Arlene Mantiles.
Zorayda Amelia Alonzo, president of the PWU Alumni Association will lead the induction of the new graduates to the association. The Baccalaureate committee is headed by Dr. Nenita Cura and assisted by Dean Edna Dominguez.
