UK ambassador graces SFU Lima bldg inauguration

MANILA, Philippines - Southville Foreign University (SFU) has witnessed the celebration of another important stage in the progressive development of its educational facility through the grand inauguration and blessing ceremony of the Lima Building on Oct. 7, 2011. The blessing of the Lima Building was followed by the official cutting of the ribbon made by the dignitaries, Southville Foreign University’s top management and Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Tan, chief executive mentor (SISC and SFU).

The dignitaries who graced the Lima Campus Blessing were (from left) Edexcel regional director (Southeast Asia) Simon Young, British Ambassador Stephen Lillie, GMA 7 Artist Center’s assistant vice president and head Ida Henares; founders of SFU Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Tan, chief executive mentor (2nd from right); Roger Bartholomew, chairman (3rd from right), and Helen Bartholomew (right). Ms. World 2011 1st runner up Gwendoline Ruais, an alumna of Southville Foreign University joined the dignitaries in cutting the ribbon.

“As British Ambassador you will not be surprised to know that I think British Education is one of the stand-out strengths of the United Kingdom,” Lillie said during his toast. Since 1998, Southville Foreign University has been providing 100 percent foreign credentials to students in the Philippines who seek international recognition and career. Students of SFU are awarded with foreign degrees and advanced diplomas from Australia, the UK and the US. Southville Foreign University is the only Edexcel center in the Philippines, Edexcel is the largest accrediting body in the UK.
