St. Edward Integrated School site dedication held

MANILA, Philippines - As envisioned by leading property developer Pro-Friends, an educational facility will soon rise in Lancaster Estates in Imus, Cavite.

The educational facility, named St. Edward Integrated School, with St. Edward the Confessor as its patron saint, is under consultancy with the La Sallian Schools Supervision Office. When it opens for SY 2012-2013, it will initially offer Junior and Senior Prep; Grades 1-4 and first to second year high school.

Pro-Friends has dedicated 6.6 hectares for the school, which will initially house three buildings: a school, a gymnasium and a laboratory. St. Edward Integrated School will carry a contemporary architectural design by RGB Architecture, a Hong Kong-based firm with projects in Asia and the US.

The contemporary inspirations are evident in the design and shape of the building facade. The integration of surrounding landscape guarantees a relaxing experience making the area conducive for learning.

The event was attended by different luminaries of the academe, like the LASSO board members, DepEd representatives and Pro-Friends executives. A time capsule laying ceremony was led by Pro-Friends chairman and St. Edward Integrated School founder, Gerry Choa. The unveiling of the different school perspectives was led by Pro-Friends president Jocelyn Guzman.
