MCLE-accredited seminar on PP partnerships

MANILA, Philippines - In collaboration with Forensic Solutions, the Center for Global Best Practices (www.cgbp.org; tel (02) 5568968/69 or (02) 8427148/59), is launching the 2nd series of the PPP seminar on “Best Practices for Public-Private Partnerships in BOT and JV Projects”. This 1.5-day event will be held at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City on March 17 and 18, 2011. Expert practitioners will teach participants how to succeed in PPP deals by learning how to package feasibility studies, craft the right terms of reference in your bid documents, pursue unsolicited proposals the right way, formulate technical bids, compute financial bids, prepare for bidding and negotiations, learn the auditing rules and monitor project implementation. This one-time event will feature former Secretary of Justice Alberto Agra. He also held various positions in government as Solicitor General and Government Corporate Counsel. He is a strong advocate of PPP, professor of law (1993 to present), and co-author of newly released book Knowing BOT and JV. He currently heads Forensic Law and Policy Strategies, Inc. and Forensic Solutions, a think tank offering services in the fields of policy, law reform, advocacy and governance. Other speakers and resource persons who are experts on PPP and representatives of the public and private sectors involved in PPP/BOT/JV projects shall be included in the lecture presentations.
