Accenture, PUP unveil enhanced facility to boost student learning

-

MANILA, Philippines - Accenture has transformed the audio-visual room of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) into a fully-equipped learning facility called the Accenture Ideas Exchange Lab. The initiative supports Accenture’s corporate citizenship focus, “Skills to Succeed,” which aims to equip 250,000 people around the world by 2015 with the skills to get jobs or build businesses.

At the recent turnover ceremonies and memorandum of agreement (MOA) signing held at the PUP-Sta. Mesa campus, George Son Keng Po, Accenture technology services delivery lead, said the project aims to improve the educational and learning experience of students and faculty of the university. “The Accenture Ideas Exchange Lab will help provide the best work environment in which PUP students and faculty can develop their skills so they can participate in and contribute to the economy and society.”

The Accenture Ideas Exchange Lab will serve as a venue for meetings, presentations, discussions and brainstorming sessions for students and faculty, and it will promote productivity, collaboration and creativity for the people who use it. In addition, Accenture will be conducting on-campus learning sessions for students, as well as career talks for the top graduating students majoring in Accountancy, Technology and Engineering.
