Classroom dynamics seminars for teachers
MANILA, Philippines - The UE College of Education (UE CoEd) is conducting a series of seminars for faculty development for all faculty members, UE or non-UE alike, to upgrade the competency of faculty members in the area of classroom dynamics.
This seminar series kicked off with “The Art of Questioning” yesterday, July 21. Dr. Nilda Sunga was the inaugural resource speaker. Formerly a faculty member of the UE Graduate School and Director of Studies of the Regional English Language Center in Singapore, Sunga is currently the director for Academics of Angelicum College.
UE CoEd dean, Dr. Evelina Maclang-Vicencio, resource speaker for the next two seminars, will tackle “Designing Tests to Effectively Assess Student Learning” on Aug. 20, 1–5 p.m., and “Planting Seeds of Critical and Creative Thinking” on Sept. 17, 1–5 p.m.
A two-part topic “Teaching Effectively with Multimedia” will conclude this seminar series; slated 1–5 p.m. on Nov. 19 for Part I and on Nov. 22 for Part II. The resource person on both dates is Prof. Cynthia Diaz, UE CoEd college secretary and master trainer of the Intel-Teach Program.
