API Fellowships Program
MANILA, Philippines - The Nippon Foundation Fellowships for Asian Public Intellectuals (API Fellowships Program) provides grants to individuals to engage in cross-country research. Selected applicants are provided with international and domestic transportation, housing, stipend, research allowance, and travel insurance to carry out research activities in the current participating countries: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. The research project should be started and completed within the period of July 2011 to July 2012.
The API Fellowships Program is open to anyone involved in the production and exchange of knowledge in line with the goals of the program, or those who are committed to working for the betterment of society by applying their professional knowledge, wisdom, and experience.
The program is jointly organized by the Nippon Foundation and the following partner institutions: the Indonesian Institute of Sciences, the Center for Southeast Asian Studies of Kyoto University, the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies of Universiti Kebang-saan Malaysia, the School of Social Sciences of Ateneo de Manila University, and the Institute of Asian Studies of Chula-longkorn University.
