Aim higher with Fatima's 3-year CHIM curriculum

MANILA, Philippines - Increase in the demand for culinary experts and hotel workers here and abroad has encouraged Our Lady of Fatima University College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM) to offer a curriculum that fits the needs of students.

Students interested in hotel and restaurant management can earn a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management in just three years (and also receive a certificate in Hotel and Restaurant Services for six TVET qualifications). Another year of study and they will earn another BS degree in Hospitality and Institutional Management and major in any of the executive programs like Integrated Resort and Casino Management (IRCM) Culinary and Food Service Entrepreneurship (CUFSE) and Hospitality Services in Cruise Line Operations (HOSCLO).

With the new curriculum, students can pursue their dreams earlier. With three years of study, they have in their possession a Bachelor of Science degree and the skills and knowledge that come with the diploma. Graduates could work earlier and get ahead of the competition.

While other colleges and universities require four years study to attain a Bachelor of Science degree, students at OLFU can earn a Bachelor of Science degree in just three years and two Bachelor of Science degrees in four years.

Quality and first-class training given to students help them meet the qualifications here and abroad. OLFU sends students to hotels and cruise ships abroad for their International Practicum Program. They get hands-on training from five-star hotels and resorts in Asia and US. For the Local Practicum Program, OLFU has tie ups with Bistro Group of Restaurant Concepts Inc. - Italianni’s, Flapjack’s, Kangaroo Jack, Fish and Co and Outback.

OLFU gained its Autonomous Status from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and has been producing topnotchers in Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Medical Technology.
