MFI scholarship drive on

MANILA, Philippines - MFI Technological Institute (MFI-TI), formerly Meralco Foundation Institute, is now accepting applicants for scholarship to the three-year Industrial Technician Program (ITP).

ITP provides its students with top-of-the line skills, the right work attitude and placement assistance to land them a good job in their field of expertise. ITP education, likewise, gives rise to a new breed of highly motivated industrial technicians, the fruit of which is overall national productivity.

Applicants are now accepted at the Institute campus along Ortigas Avenue in Pasig (besides the Medical City Hospital).

There are 270 slots for incoming first-year students both full paying and scholars. Full and partial scholarship grants are available.

Applicants must be Filipino citizen between 16 to 22 years old of age; pass the competitive admission test, interviews and orientation summer class; and belong to a family whose annual income does not exceed P150,000.

Requirements from applicants: two (2x 2) ID photos, recommendation letters from High School Principal and guidance counselor; photocopy of report card filled up to second grading period (for graduating students), and income tax return of parents.

Technical course offerings include electrical, electronics, instrumentation, tool and die and the two years IT.

New edition to the ITP is the two-year Dual Training System (DTS). Under the DTS are courses like the Industrial Mechatronics Technology, Automotive and Motorcycling Servicing Technology, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Technology and Network Administration Technology.
