Top Indian IT school to open in RP

MANILA, Philippines - Soon to rise in Metro Manila and key urban centers in the country is Aptech Philippines Learning Center with the recent signing of the joint venture agreement between leading Indian IT education conglomerate Aptech Limited and New Life Pharmaceuticals in Makati City.

Aptech Philippines chairman and FICCI president Ram Sitaldas said the partnership is a recognition of the talent of Filipino youths and the very favorable investment climate in the country. He said that the school will later be offered for franchising to provide educational and employment opportunities in the countryside.

The Mumbai-based Aptech Global Learning Solutions Co., which is present in 40 countries, is the first Asian IT education and training company to receive the ISO 9001: 2000 quality certification for Education Support Services in 1993.

The school will offer two-year and three-year diploma courses on IT and related disciplines such as tourism, hospitality, corporate education, and English language proficiency which will make its graduates readily employable in the fastest growing sectors in the world.

Also listed in Forbes Global Best 300 Small Companies worldwide, Aptech has trained more than 5 million students worldwide since its inception in 1986 through its more than 400 training centers. The group, which is listed at the Bombay Stock Exchange, has five brands under its retail training line and five training verticals under its corporate education program.

It also has forged alliances with global companies and universities to open up opportunities for students to pursue their studies overseas.

The launch of Aptech Philippines was witnessed by executives from Embassy of India, Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Solicitor General, The Board of Investments, Department of Trade and Industry, Office of the President, Philippine Franchising Association, the Business Process Association of the Philippines, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (FICCI), the Commission on Information and Communication Technology, as well as mayors of various local governments in the country.
