Book Week celebrations in Paranaque set

MANILA, Philippines - In preparation for the this year’s Book Week celebration, the Parañaque City Government under the leadership of Mayor Florencio Bernabe Jr. lined up  activities that are geared towards creating better appreciation of the values of reading in children and teenagers which is scheduled from Nov. 23 to 29. With the theme, “Kaaya-ayang Magbasa sa Kapaligirang Kay Ganda” the week-long celebration is expected to draw great interest and deliver remarkable service as storytelling sessions for grade school students and their parents; book talk among Grade VI students and educational film showing for Fourth Year High School students are set. Preparations are being made by the Parañaque City Public Library headed by Amalia Martin.
