MANILA, Philippines - The Panasonic Group of companies in the Philippines has awarded recently the 2010 Panasonic Scholarship to three young Filipino professionals and outstanding graduates of top Philippine universities.
The scholars, who will stay in Japan for three years and pursue studies in the fields of science and engineering received their scholarship certificates from the Office of the Student Services of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Dr. Isabel Inlayo, Japan Information and Cultural Center of the Embassy of Japan director Tomoko Dodo, Panasonic Scholarship Co., Ltd. president Tadaharu Taguchi, and Panasonic Scholarship Office (PSO) Philippines chairman Reynaldo Lico.
The awardees are Teodorick Barry Manguerra, who graduated from the UP-Los Banos with a degree in Applied Physics; Noralyn Manucat, who is a BS Food Technology graduate of the UP–Diliman; and Lowela Siarot, a BS Biology graduate of the University of the Philippines-Mindanao.
