PWU Social Worker graduate stands out

MANILA, Philippines - Social Work graduate Loraine Panopio of the Philippine Women’s University garnered third place in the recently concluded Social Worker Licensure Exam released by the Professional Regulation Commission.

A native of Laguna, Panopio took the four-year course under the off-campus program of PWU’s Philippine School of Social Work under dean Dr. Nenita Cura.

The other successful examinees are Ma. Dulce Alberto, Cherry Almonte, Romeo Arturo, Maryann Ayap, Bernardo Cerilla, Reilineth de Jesus, Virginia Montilla, Darylvy Ricafort, Eduardo Samonte and Amelia Tuquero.

PWU will hold a testimonial luncheon in their honor tomorrow, July 24, at its Taft campus, Manila and will receive their certificate of recognition from PWU CEO Alfredo Reyes and president Dr. Amelou Reyes.

The PRC announced that the 2009 social worker board passers numbering 691, including previous successful examinees will take their professional oath on Aug. 14, 2009, 1 p.m. at the Centennial Hall of Manila Hotel.
