Julia Gabriel Centre offers holiday program for kids
MANILA, Philippines – Singapore-based Julia Gabriel Centre for Learning, an early learning institution, kicked off its Philippine operations with a three-week Holiday Program starting June 16 until July 4.
Julia Gabriel Centre for Learning Manila, its local affiliate, is open for enrolment to the three-week program, the school administration headed by Josephine Reyes, principal, announced.
The program offerings include Playnest for children 6 months to 1 year, Playclub in English and Mandarin for 1 to 3 years, bilingual Playclub for the same age group, EduDrama in English for 3 years to 8 years, EduDrama in Mandarin for 3 to 6 years, and Readers and Writers for 4 to 6 years.
Two officers of the parent institution in Singapore arrived recently to assist in the preparations for the opening of the Holiday Program. They are Julia Gray, a senior teacher from London, and Fiona Walker, chief executive officer and principal director for the Julia Gabriel schools.
Also working with the Centre as a teacher of Mandarin is Hu Dai Ling from China, who was trained in Singapore along with the local teachers in speech and drama.
The Julia Gabriel Centre for Learning offers an early education curriculum that seeks to develop language and communication skills in the very young through speech and drama activities.
Its curricular program was conceptualized and developed by Englishwoman Julia Gabriel, who founded the first Julia Gabriel Centre in Singapore almost 20 years ago. Before Manila, other learning centers using her system of early education opened in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and China.
