MANILA, Philippines - Miriam College marks the launching of its Lifelong Education and Development (LEAD) Center programs with the groundbreaking of the LEAD Center Residence Hall on March 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the campus grounds.
Miriam College aims to promote lifelong learning through interlinking, systematizing and expanding the school’s accumulated wealth of knowledge and experience into a flagship program of citizenship development.
Lifelong learning is premised on integrating learning and living from birth to old age and across family, community, study, work and leisure to foster continuous personal and professional development while enabling them to respond to the call of social responsibility.
The LEAD Center will be the special coordinative hub that will link collaborative programs between and among the College’s academic units, special centers and offices. It will focus on projecting the various programs of Miriam College on a regional and international scale. The first step begins with the construction of the residence hall for students and guests who will participate in the LEAD programs.
