4,123 pass CPA licensure exam

MANILA, Philippines - Only 4,123 passed the licensure examination for public accountants out of 11,137 examinees, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.

University of Saint Louis graduate Mark Anthony Tacuboy topped the board exam with a score of 91.14 percent.

University of the Philippines graduate Kevin Patrick Lim and Cagayan State University graduate Reynald Tomas placed second with 90.71 percent.

Third placer is Asia Pacific College graduate Cedrick Zapanta who scored 90 percent, while another St. Louis graduate, McLein Baguno, shared fourth place with University of Cordillera graduate Mebielyn Lloren, both with a grade of 89.86 percent.

UP graduate Miguel Alfonso Solidum ranked fifth with 89.71 percent, followed by another Saint Louis University graduate Norizza Caliging and Palawan State University graduate Gerald Mart Gatinga in sixth place with a score of 89.57 percent.

Josel Richa Ann Rivera of UP placed seventh with 89.43 percent, while Cavite State University’s Janine Climacosa landed eighth with a grade of 89.29 percent.

Cavite State University graduate John Rey Delos Santos and UP’s Nigel Williamson Lee both scored 89.14 percent and tied at ninth.

De La Salle University graduate Janelle Quezasa, Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ Adam Dalida, and Central Mindanao University’s Er Louie Bauyot all got a grade of 89 percent and landed in tenth place.

The examinees took the licensure examination in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena four days ago.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The four-day registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration is on Oct. 27 to 30.
