#WalangPasok: Classes suspended due to heavy rains

MANILA, Philippines - The low pressure area dumping heavy rains in areas across the country prompted local government units and schools to suspend classes on Tuesday.

Classes on all levels were suspended in Taytay, Rizal and Manila, while classes from pre-school to high school were suspended in Pasay City.

Classes from pre-school to elementary were also suspended in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.

Evening classes in Makati City were also suspended.

Classes at all levels are suspended at Angelicum College in Quezon City and the University of the East in Caloocan.

Meanwhile, Governor Jonvic Remulla of Cavite announced that classes at all levels in the province are suspended on August 27, Wednesday.

The weather bureau said Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region and the provinces of Pangasinan, Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
