Atenean tops CPA licensure exam

MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of the Ateneo De Davao University topped the recent Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday.
 
The PRC said 1,553 out of 5,665 passed the CPA exam this month given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.
 
The top 10 passers are:
 
1. Richard Baguio Saavedra - Ateneo de Davao University - 96 percent
 
2. Mikyll Hum Dalimot Narvios - University of San Carlos - 95.43 percent
 
3. Tom Braian Aguilar - University of Baguio - 94 percent
 
4. Wendell Kho Ang - University of San Carlos - 93.71 percent
 
5. Jaymar Pelin Dumagsa - Western Leyte College-Ormoc - 93.57 percent
 
6. Russel Aaron Nachor Ailes - Ateneo de Naga University - 93.29 percent
    Hazel Valerie Ngo Sy - De La Salle University Manila - 93.29 percent
 
7. Jon Vincent Ngo Ong - De La Salle University Manila - 93.14 percent
 
8. Glen Dareen Astillero Santos - Xavier University - 92.71 percent
 
9. Kathleen Rivera Samonte - De La Salle University - 92.43 percent
 
10. Arianne Canon Fernando - University of San Carlos - 92.29 percent 
      Jay Ronald Leopardas Lluvido - Holy Name University - 92.29 percent
 
The De La Salle University topped the list of schools with the highest number of passers: 53 out of 55 examinees or 96.36 percent.
 
The date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony of the new successful examinees has yet to be announced.
