MASAYANG iniulat ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ang mataas umanong kumpiyansa ng mga negosyante sa takbo ng ekonomiya ng ating bansa. Ayon kay BSP Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo, ito ay base sa isinagawa nilang 2012 Quarterly Business Expectation Survey (BES) sa 1,587 respondent firms sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa na nasa mga kategoryang import business, export business at iba pang uri ng negosyo na kabilang sa listahan ng Top 7,000 Corporations ng Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ilan sa indicators na ginamit sa survey ay “business expansion, increase in orders, new contracts and projects, steady investment inflows, and introduction of new and enhanced business strategies and product lines.”
Sa kabuuan ay nakita ang mataas na business optimism sa ekonomiya laluna sa “sound macroeconomic fundamentals” ng bansa kaya lumabas sa survey ang impresibong 40.5 percent business confidence index. Ang business confidence index ay naitala sa steady growth pattern mula pa noong 2011 partikular noong 2nd quarter (31.8 %), 3rd quarter (34.1 %) at 4th quarter (38.7 %).
Dagdag ng BSP, “The steady improvement in the confidence level of businesses in the country points to stronger economic growth in the first and second quarters of the year… The continuing uptrend indicates that economic growth is likely to be sustained in 2012.”
Ang naturang development ay magandang balita para sa ating mga kababayan, ayon sa aking anak na si Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada. Kailangan aniyang matiyak na ang naturang “positive mood” sa sektor ng negosyo ay agad ding mapakikinabangan ng ating mga kababayan laluna sa aspeto ng pagpapalago ng empleyo.
