LOTTO P RIZE. A civic club member who used to work for a lottery firm in Great Britain has come up with a suggestion concerning a lotto prize that has become “bloated” because no one has won the jackpot.
SLASH THE POT. The civic clubber said in a talk with an Ear informer that in some countries operating lotteries, if the pot has reached a big amount, say for example P200 million or more, the pot is reduced by at least 25 percent with the “sliced off” percentage donated to charity. “This is just my suggestion based on the practice of some lottery operators abroad,” he said.
