Let's say it again: "Make love, not war"

“Corona Won’t Go on Leave” — Headline. Fearing that someone else would wear the crown?

***

Someone has been quoted as saying: “A source has   it that PNoy is now looking for a replacement for CJ Corona.” Is the source unimpeachable?

***

It says here that December is the month many grooms-to-be pop the question: “Will you marry me?” It could not be ascertained which answer is overwhelming — yes or no.

***

There’s one news here that says a war is being waged against prostitution in one Metro Manila City. Fine. But remember the war cry that goes: “Make love, not war!”

***

“Make love not war” was the most ubiquitous graffiti when I was in school. I think it had a wider “circulation” than “Kilroy was here!”

***

The news says a child, 11, was raped by three minors. The suspects aged 16,15 and 12. The law says they must go scot-free, right?

***

I remember Muhammad Ali. In one interview he was quoted as saying: “I did not know how to do it (sexual intercourse) until I was 20 and a girl taught me how.”

***

It’s the year of the Dragon. My great grandson said to me: “Lolo, let’s have some dragons in the house to kill those dengue mosquitoes.”

***

E-mail from a college coed who wants me to hide her name: “Why is it, Sir, that when people send us gifts they bought from the stores, they tear off the price tags before sending the gifts to us?”

***

She tried to answer her own question: “Maybe it’s because the gifts are cheap.” Hehehe.

***

Speaking of gifts, one of the Christmas gifts a friend of mine received was a bottle of hair restorer. The price tag was not torn off or detached. The product is pricey.

“Palparan Tracker Teams Formed” — Headline. Time was when tracker teams led by bloodhound dogs were used only to track down rats.
