BAREFOOT GRADER. The mother of a third grader in a public school called up The Ear to ask: “Duna bay lagda diin ang way sapatos nga pupil dili pasudlon sa iyang klase?” The mother said her third grade daughter went to school barefoot because as the girl was about to go to school it was discovered that one shoe was missing. “Murag buang ang bata kun motungha nga usa ray sapatos,” the mother said.
SCOLDED. The mother was angry at the teacher because she drove the girl away and scolded her to boot. “Emergency man to kay untimely man ang pagkawala sa usa ka sapatos,” the mother said, adding: “Duna bay balaud nga gidili ang pagtiniil sa usa ka pupil?” The mother said she could have bought a new pair of shoes but there was no more time. “Gusto na gyud mo-eskuwela ang bata bisan way sapatos.”
