PROFITABLE SIDELINE. A taxi driver has confided to an Ear informer that he earns more money from pimping than from his earnings as cabbie. This driver usually parks in the vicinity of hotels and big nightspots where well-heeled men, usually travelers, are his possible “clients.” This driver knows where the bad girls are and offers his services to bring clients to the girls for a fee. And the fee comes not only from the client but also from the girls chosen by the client. The Ear informer calls that “double take.”
TONG FOR LAWMEN. The same taxi driver also told our informer that his sideline job is known to some lawmen who would ask him for “tong.” The informer said:”Abi na nako nga mga drayber lang pangayoan og tong ... Tongan sad diay ang bugaw.”
