GRO CHAT. The Ear heard a guest relations officer (GRO) of a KTV bar and a cigarette vendor talking one night along the street. The cigarette vendor wanted to know how foreign guests act around these bar girls. The GRO looked to be in her mid-20s. Here’s how their conversation played out:
Vendor: “Sa mga langyaw nga guests ‘Day, kinsa inyong ganahan?”
GRO: “Ganahan mi sa mga puti kay galante mohatag kuwarta. Pero nungka nang mga Koreano.”
Vendor: “Ngano man? Daghan bayang Koreano diri.”
GRO: “Buyag ana nila. Basta manulod na gani na sila sa KTV, mabungkag gyud mi. Iyahay mig tago. Dili mi gusto mo-table ana nila uy.”
Vendor: “Unsa may rason? Tihik ba sila mohatag?”
GRO: “Na! Tihik pas nangamatay! Kusog pa gyud manghikap. Kusion among bugan unya kumot-kumoton among dughan.”
Vendor: “Paet diay sa?”
GRO: “Paet mulang.”
