SMELL OF ALCOHOL. An Ear informer said she got onboard a taxi yesterday evening at the north reclamation area. A few minutes after she got inside the taxi, she could smell alcohol inside the airconditioned cab.
She asked the cabbie, “Noy, baho man imong taxi. Naay nakasakay nga hubog?” The driver answered, “Um, naa Day, ganina. Gikan namiesta.”
DRUNK DRIVING. The female passenger let the matter go and they continued on their way. She then observed that the taxi was swerving left and right and the driver emitted a suspicious hiccup. She tapped the driver on his shoulder and said, “Hoy! Ikaw man diay ang hubog! Na, mabangga ta aning kalakiha nimo.”
The driver scratched his head and said, “Dili ko hubog day uy. Naka inom lang gamay. Piesta man gud sa amo.” The passenger decided to disembark from the taxi and later told The Ear, “Nanaug ko uy. Lisod na. Madisgrasya unya ta. Unsa may silot aning mga hubog nga driver?”
